How to stay healthy at Glastonbury (and other summer festivals)
Festival season is the greatest fun, but with late nights, drinking in the sun, and fast food, it’s common to come home feeling dreadful.
With a little forward planning, you can enjoy it without the post-festival burnout. Pack well, supplement wisely, and have the best time.
1. Supplements for liver care
If you’re heading to Glastonbury, or any festival where there's a few too many drinks involved, give your liver a little extra love.
Pollution Protection Multivitamin + Antioxidant Complex is brilliant for festivals. Packed with antioxidants and liver-supporting nutrients, it includes:
- B Vitamins – depleted by alcohol, replenishing daily will minimise hangovers
- Vitamin C – essential antioxidant
- N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) – supports healthy glutathione levels, your body’s master antioxidant for liver repair
Top tip: For special occasions, take 2 capsules with breakfast, and an additional 2 after your main meal. Normally it’s just 2 a day, but parties call for extra nutrition!
2. Don't forget your magnesium
Long days, dancing, drinking, lack of sleep – all of these burn through your magnesium stores. That’s why Vital Minerals Magnesium is a festival essential.
Magnesium helps with:
- Muscle function and recovery (great after dancing in wellies)
- Energy production
- Nervous system support – including mood and sleep
Take before bed to help you unwind and rest better, even in a noisy campsite.
3. Don't get poorly when travelling
Festivals may be a breeding ground for colds and bugs. With crowds, shared toilets, and food trucks, your immune system needs a helping hand.
Our Immune Support blend is perfect for travel (it's a must have on airplanes!!) and festivals. It's also helpful if you're prone to hay-fever!
Take 1–2 capsules daily while you're away, and a few days before and after for good measure.
4. Hydrate, sleep, and eat the best you can
Supplements help a lot – but don’t forget the basics. Drink plenty of water, stash a few healthy snacks in your rucksack, and eat eggs for breakfast (your liver loves them too).
