Feel a cold coming on? How to stay healthy this autumn

As we settle back into routines after the summer - whether school, work, or simply more time spent indoors - it’s inevitable coughs and colds start doing the rounds.

Why do we get ill more after summer?

Summer gives us more time outdoors, exposure to sunlight, hopefully some time off and nice holidays. But as we get shut up again in busy, shared spaces like classrooms, offices, and public transport, germs are easily passed around.

But you can take action to increase your resilience!

It’s impossible to avoid every bug (unless you work from home, have no children and decide to eschew fun stuff like eating out and events!) but keeping your immune system strong can hugely cut the number and severity of viruses you’ll succumb to.

Why you need City Survivor’s Immune Support formula

Carefully formulated to help you as both a preventative and a remedy. One capsule a day keeps your immune nutrients topped up for resilience, and you can take up to four capsules daily to speed recovery when feeling unwell.

How Immune Support helps you

Sambucus Nigra Extract (Elderberry)

Elderberries have long been known for their immune-boosting properties. Packed with antioxidants, elderberries can help reduce the severity and duration of cold symptoms, while also being safe to take as an ongoing immune boosting tonic. In contrast, some immune remedies like echinacea should not be taken long term.

Beta Glucan 1,3/1,6

This amazing compound helps prime the immune system, ensuring it’s ready to protect you. Beta Glucans are classed as ‘immunomodulators’ meaning supporting your immune system in a balancing way, to up- or down-regulate immune functions as needed. Again, this makes them safe for ongoing use.

Vitamin C

Known for its antioxidant properties, Vitamin C supports the production of white blood cells, which are essential for fighting infections. It’s sensible to top up our intake when fighting off colds, healing wounds, for any kind of recovery really.

Zinc Picolinate

Zinc is essential for immune function, helping your body produce and activate white blood cells that protect against viruses. We use zinc in its most absorbable picolinate form.

Vitamin A

Another essential immune nutrient, Vitamin A plays a crucial role in supporting your immune system, it’s key when fighting off seasonal colds.

How to use Immune Support capsules

City Survivor Immune Support formula has been carefully designed so you can take 1 capsule a day to maintain overall wellbeing or up to 4 capsules when you’re in need of quicker recovery.

If you’ve been around someone who's unwell, or you’re starting to feel a tickle in your throat, take 2-4 capsules for a few days to boost your defences.

If taking multiple capsules, it’s best to split the dose throughout the day. A lot of supplements use large doses like 1000mg Vitamin C, but you’ll end up losing a lot of this water soluble vitamin. it’s better to take smaller amounts more often.

Keep Immune Support handy!

We recommend always keeping Immune Support in your cupboard, ready for when first signs of a cold hit. The sooner you take it, the better the result.
